Matthew StainerMatthew is a qualified specialist Addiction Counsellor, with a significant amount of experience working in a variety of roles within addiction treatment settings. Having completed his B.Sc. in Addictions Counselling at The University of Bath, he has current knowledge of addiction treatment counselling and strives to offer evidence based treatments to support clients in their recovery. He has worked at Charterhouse Clinic since we opened in 2015, progressing from a volunteer position to become a fully qualified addictions counsellor after completing his training. He currently oversees the clinical programme at Charterhouse Clinic and leads a team of counsellors who provide a wide range of therapies to a diverse group of clients. Matthew continues to develop his own personal knowledge base and takes opportunities to support others looking to build a career in addiction treatment services – this includes mentoring placement students during their studies. Matthew continues to contribute to the development of the evolving  treatment programmes at Charterhouse Clinic, providing industry leading treatment services to those in need.
